    New Beginnings

    Gwinnett/Lawrenceville, GA

January 2014 Dear Gwinnett Chapter Members and fellow IAAP friends: Each new year brings with it a chance for a fresh start as we return to the routine of work and the daily activities of our lives after the holidays. I always look forward to these new beginnings. There is hope in knowing we can always start with fresh determination to meet the goals we've set. Vice President - Julie Stevens, CAP-OM, and I attended the Mid-Year Leadership Forum at the Georgia Power offices in Athens yesterday. This is an annual meeting for current President's and President Elects / Vice Presidents of each chapter to gather and prepare for the second half of the current IAAP year and to look ahead and plan for those taking the reigns in July 2014. Kudos to our Georgia Division Officers for a fun and productive day! The fun stuff: a White Elephant gift exchange, Magic Math demonstration and a delicious brunch and Table Talk team-building exercise. After a review of tasks, meetings and deadlines for the remainder of our IAAP year, we listened as a representative from each chapter was able to share successes and challenges of their chapter to date. It gives you such a feeling of pride in our organization to hear the wonderful accomplishments of each chapter, how they are helping make a difference in their communities, and the things they struggle with and what they are doing to move forward. I hope as you look ahead and plan for 2104, that you will include Gwinnett Chapter IAAP in your plans. Please mark your calendars for the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Join us at the Atlanta Hilton NE, Peachtree Corners, to share a meal, ideas, insights and take advantage of the educational opportunities provided each month. Happy New Year, Ja
